Eye-eye
Seven in 10 office workers upped their screen use during lockdown, with millions suffering eye issues as a result. You should have your eyes checked every two years. If yours is due, book one at boots.com/opticians, or call 0345 125 3752**.
Be good to your gut: Dos and Don’ts
Did you know that 70% of immune cells are found in the gut? And as your gut feeling is rarely wrong, it’s time to take care of yours…
DO: cut down on fat. Burgers and fried food, we’re talking about you!
DO: consider Boots Good Gut Live Friendly Bacteria. They contain more than 25 billion biotic cultures, plus calcium**† to support gut health.
DON’T: ignore gut-symptom triggers (such as heartburn and wind). It helps to keep a food diary, so you can identify – and avoid – the food and drink that trigger symptoms.
DON’T: overdo it on fizzy and caffeinated drinks, as they’re known to cause bloating and heartburn. Swap for herbal tea or water.
Stub it out!
More than half of smokers aged 16 and over say they want to quit. The NHS Stop Smoking Service is a good start: nhs.uk/quit-smoking/.

How can I help support my immunity?
Start by eating well and fill your plate with greens, grains and healthy fats. Sleep is vital, too: getting enough shut-eye helps improve the function of your immune cells, so make bedtime your bestie. Regular exercise has been shown to give a little boost to your immune system. Also, keeping fit means a lower risk of developing some long-term health conditions, such as heart disease, stroke and Type 2 diabetes.
What a pain
• The average adult experiences two headaches a week, with a typical one lasting 3½ hours. Ouch!
• 1 in 5 Brits has missed more than one day of work due to back pain.
• Millions of us admit to suffering pain in silence to avoid annoying others.
