Be good to your gut: Dos and Don’ts

Did you know that 70% of immune cells are found in the gut? And as your gut feeling is rarely wrong, it’s time to take care of yours…

DO: cut down on fat. Burgers and fried food, we’re talking about you!

DO: consider Boots Good Gut Live Friendly Bacteria. They contain more than 25 billion biotic cultures, plus calcium** to support gut health.

DON’T: ignore gut-symptom triggers (such as heartburn and wind). It helps to keep a food diary, so you can identify – and avoid – the food and drink that trigger symptoms.

DON’T: overdo it on fizzy and caffeinated drinks, as they’re known to cause bloating and heartburn. Swap for herbal tea or water.

Stub it out!

Also, keeping fit means a lower risk of developing some long-term health conditions, such as heart disease, stroke and Type 2 diabetes.
