‘I’d always wear bold make-up to the office so I’m doing the same working from home. My go-to colours are bright ones with tons of impact – and they always get noticed on calls! On days when I’m struggling with anxiety or low motivation, I love to lose myself in fun make-up for half an hour.’

‘I pick products by scent – citrus fruits are my favourite for uplifting. I use zingy, fresh buys like Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Cleansing Lotion, Ole Henriksen Truth Serum and Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Cream. I’ve used these products for a while – it makes me feel ready to go in the morning. No pandemic will get in between me and my skincare!’

‘I’m keeping up with my daily hair style – beachy waves – as it’s so quick and easy to do and makes me feel ready to take on the day. I’m careful to use heat protection before styling as it keeps my dyed hair in a good condition, and at the weekend I’m investing in some “me time” and doing lots of hair masks.’

‘I struggle with painful cystic spots and blackheads as a result of hormones and stress and I find multi-masking really helps my skin. I use a mud mask to help dry out spots, an exfoliating one to remove dead skin cells, and I sleep in a hydrating mask. I feel like I have no control over my skin – but a face mask allows me to be in control of what I do with that 15 minutes. Whether it’s reading a book, listening to music or watching a TV show, it’s 100% me-time.’

‘A red lippy is my staple look – the colour makes me feel good and adds some sass to my step. I’ve never stared at my reflection so much as I do now I’m on countless video calls – and seeing my red lips gives me confidence when having to make tough decisions in stressful times.’

‘It had been 5 weeks since a haircut or beard trim, so I was looking a little “grizzly”. My girlfriend watched some videos and learnt the barbershop basics in 20 minutes. I was nervous but I let her loose with the clippers and I was impressed. I feel more like myself again.’

‘Working from home has given me time to dig out my huge nail polish collection and up my nail game. I fancied a bright spring-inspired nail look to lift my mood. I picked a yellow, purple, blue, pink and green (not forgetting my trusty base and topcoat!). I love my multi-coloured mani – it makes me super happy.’

‘I fancied going back to the pink hair I’ve had previously and one evening decided to do it myself. Armed with hair dye and gloves, I went for it. I’m so happy with the result. It has instantly lifted my mood. I might try trimming it next. Or maybe not…’

‘I don’t feel myself without my brows looking groomed. I regularly tint them at home, and I find the best thing to set my brows with is soap (top tip – the more transparent the bar of soap, the better). Use a spooly with some water (or setting spray) to create a gel consistency, then just brush it through the brows. Start off with a small amount, as you can always build it up.’

‘A bun is the perfect style for thick hair that takes seconds. I tip my head upside down, grab all my hair as high as possible and tie it into a ponytail. I then wrap my ponytail neatly around the top and place another band around it. I use grips to tuck loose hairs into the base of my bun. This style doesn’t budge even when I work out.’

‘When I want to perk myself up and feel a bit normal, wearing chic glasses is my go-to. I put on my bold frames for conference calls, it makes me feel glam and professional, even with no make-up on. I’m also trying to get outside to take work calls when I can, especially if the weather is nice. It makes me feel so much more relaxed.’
