Shockingly, research from Public Health England has revealed a significant drop in the number of women having cervical screening (a smear test). But, as this free health check is estimated to save around 5,000 lives per year, it’s crucial we all have it (women aged 25-49 are invited every three years; and those aged 50-64 every five years).
