A knighthood for Captain Tom?

If there is anyone who epitomises British spirit in a crisis right now, it’s Captain Tom Moore. The 99-year-old (he celebrates his centenary birthday this week) set out to walk 100 laps of his front garden by his birthday to raise £1,000 for the NHS. And the rest is history. He now has a number one single, has raised more than £29 million (and counting!) via his JustGiving page – and there’s a petition to get him knighted (come on!). We say, ‘Arise, Sir Tom!’.

Back-tanning hack

We may just be Frankie Bridge’s new number one fan. From her cool vocals in Girls Aloud and awesome dance moves on Strictly, to speaking out for mental health, she can do no wrong. To top it off, the hack we spied on her Insta feed for tanning your own back is genius. All it takes is a tanning mitt attached to a body brush and secured with a hair bobble. Want to fashion your own? Use St.Tropez Tan Dual Sided Luxe Velvet Fake Tan Mitt and Botanics Natural Bristle Body Brush. Simple!

It's good to talk

It’s hard not to feel anxious and unsure during these strange times. Mental health treatment specialists Smart TMS have reacted by launching a free mental health helpline (open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) to provide support for those struggling with mental health concerns brought about by Covid-19. Better still, the first hour (9am-10am) is a priority slot for NHS staff and key workers. To find out more and request a call back, visit the Smart TMS website.
