Where are you?

In the back of a taxi on the way to my podcast studio in London to make an episode of Katie Piper’s Extraordinary People.

What are you wearing?

T-shirt and sports-luxe tracksuit bottoms. But always with heels, as I’m 5ft 1in!

Is anyone else joining you?

I’m usually on my own, listening to transcribed notes or doing an online payment for tap-dancing lessons for my kids.

Any snacks on the go?

I’m never without a hard-boiled egg and supplements: zinc, magnesium, and Berocca Boost Effervescent Tablets (10-pack)

What’s the light like?

It’s usually fairly dark, especially in winter.

How long is your journey?

It can take two hours in a taxi. As a working mum, I try to be productive – do make-up and send emails – and relax without having to tie someone’s shoelace or cut up their fruit!

Any surprise finds in your make-up bag?

I don’t leave home without Luxe Studio Rose Gold Stork Brow Scissors EXCLUSIVE. I’ve had a hair transplant on my eyebrows and I have to trim them often.

Do you like what you see in the mirror?

Always. Whether I feel rough or glamorous, I always feel grateful to be here.

What’s the one product you always use?

When I’m doing a podcast, I comb through Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek Mask (300ml) and tie my hair in a bun.

What’s your strength: hair or make-up?

Hair – I’ve been through such a journey with it and tend to experiment a lot [Katie is a survivor of an acid attack in 2008].

And your go-to look?

It’s simply La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV Intense Light Moisturiser (50ml) and Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in Intense Black.

Any touch-up must-haves to hand?

Pantene Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam (180ml) EXCLUSIVE to lift roots.

Let’s play ‘beauty would you rather’: Statement eye or lip?

Statement eye – always! Ardell 3D Faux Mink Lashes in 857 are my favourite. They’re super-lightweight.
