Cool new period product brand DAME has launched the world’s first reusable tampon applicator, the DAME The Re-Usable Tampon Applicator. (It fits all standard tampons, from light to super plus). And it’s a genius idea, as 1.3 billion disposable applicators are thrown away each year in the UK alone, a lot of which end up in the sea and on beaches. (Horrifyingly, a clean-up recently discovered nine used plastic applicators for every kilometre of beach!) Time we all adopted DAME’s mantra: ‘bleed red, think green’.

We always thought a cuppa really could be the solution to all the world’s ills – and, according to a recent survey, we’re not the only ones. Nearly 90% of us feel there’s some truth in ‘a cup of tea is the answer to every problem’ (maybe our politicians need to drink more of it at the moment?); 50% said their mood changes after a nice brew; and 3 in 5 admitted that, when stressed/busy, tea is a help.
